Police investigating shooting in Fleetwood overnight

Police are investigating a suspected shooting in Fleetwood Tuesday (March 26) that sent one man to hospital.

The Surrey RCMP responded to the call of shots fired around 10:44 p.m. Tuesday (March 26) in the 8500 block of Richardson Drive.

Police found a male “suffering injuries consistent with having been shot,” reads a Surrey RCMP release Wednesday (March 27). The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The Surrey RCMP say there is no suspect in custody, and they are working to determine a motive for the shooting.

Police will be canvassing the neighbourhood and speaking with witnesses in hopes of gaining more information.
